Gimp is a wonderful free and open source image editor. One of the problems new users of Gimp tend to have is learning to use the program beyond simple editing, especially since so many tutorials today favor Adobe Lightroom (a paid product that’s not available on Linux) for advanced edits such as image stacking and high dynamic range (HDR) photograph compositing. My tutorials aim to fill in some of these cracks and make Gimp more useful.
I strongly recommend using Gimp in single-window mode. Go to the Windows menu and click “single-window mode” at the bottom.
